Dearly Beloved,
Greetings of Grace, Mercy and Peace in the Matchless Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by whom we have received the grace and apostleship for obedience of faith amongst all nations.
As the Nations of the world face economic upheavals characterized by incessant inflations, unreasonable price hikes, social unrest and an overwhelming hardship, God is calling His church to pray in order to influence or change things for the better.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 NKJV
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
For this reason we are initiating a prayer movement called 30 for 30, that is, thirty people praying for thirty minutes everyday everywhere in Nigeria for the nation, her leaders and her people. This also applicable to other nations of the world. We are called to pray for our cities and nations. See 1 Thessalonians 5:17; 1 Timothy 2:8;
Jeremiah 29:7 NIV
Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
The condition of any nation is a reflection of the prayer life of the church. Prayer is the instrument for advancing and enforcing God’s will in the earth. It was John Wesley who said, “It seems like God will do nothing except men pray.”
The statement above is Scripturally accurate because Jesus commanded us to pray, “Your kingdom come and your will be done in the earth as it is in heaven.” See Matthew 6:10
He also said, “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” * See Matthew 16:19; 18:18-19
It is time for the church to embrace the Biblical call to prayer. If we don’t pray, things won’t change. We are calling Pastors, Churches and individual believers to take on this call to prayer. When we pray confidently based on His Word and persistently we will see irreversible changes in our cities and nations.
God is seeking for men and women who will stand in the gap for thirty minutes everyday for each nation. You have to also enlist others to pray for your nation. This will lead to a prayer movement as you invite other friends to join in until you are thirty. We will provide the tools and prayer guides for the prayers on our website: www.crichurch.org
May the Spirit of grace and supplication mantle you and empower you to pray passionately and persistently until your nation changes in Jesus Name, Amen!
