A Sworn Declaration 1
“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23:19.
Faith is being convinced of God’s willingness to perform His promise. This is important because there are people who make promises without any intention to fulfill them, but God is not that way. God says what He means and means what He says. Therefore we are sure that whenever God says something He will do it. So we know that He is willing to fulfill His promise.
In Psalm 89:34 God said, “My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.” I want you to know that God is committed to bringing to pass whatever He has said to you.
Hebrews 6:13-14 (NKJV), “For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” This reveals that whenever God speaks it is a sworn declaration. The Word of God is not mere Words.
Therefore the next time you open the Bible, I want you to know that you are looking at covenant Words. They are Words that God has sworn to fulfill.
In the Name of Jesus, I believe that the Word of God to me is true. Every Word God has spoken to me is producing in me and in my circumstances what they talk about. Thank you Father for the efficacy of Your Word in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
