“By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life…”
2 Peter 1:3 (NLT)

We can see from the scripture above that every Christian has received everything needed for living a godly life. This means that no Christian has an excuse for sin.

If you are still living in sin as a Christian, it means that you are a baby.

Proverbs 20:11 says, “Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.” So your character reveals your level of spiritual maturity.

There is nothing you need to live the way Jesus lived that God has not given to you if you are born again.

That is why Jesus said in John 14:12, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”

It will be irresponsible of God to say that you can do the works Jesus did without giving you what Jesus had to do what He did.

This is why the Bible says in 2 Peter 1:3 (AMP), “For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).”

You have all it takes to live like Jesus.

Dear Father, I thank You for strengthening me with might according to the riches of Your glory by Your Spirit in my inward man, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

1 Corinthians 3:1-3 (NKJV)

And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?

1 Timothy 4:8 (NKJV)

For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.

1 Peter 2:1-2 (NKJV)
Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
