Act On The Word 1.
“And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.” John 2:1-3.
Who do you go to when you are in need? Our opening scripture reveals who you should go to when you are in need. The Bible says, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19. This means you can go to God no matter your need.
When Mary went to Jesus with a need, Jesus said to her, “… Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.” John 2:4-5.
Notice that obedience gets God’s attention. When Jesus found obedience, it was a connection to His power. God will not lead you beyond your last act of disobedience. What was the last thing God told you to do, go ahead and do it and His voice will become clearer again.
“And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.” John 2:6-8.
They believed in the rhema words that Jesus spoke because they did as He said. Why did they have wine? It is because they completed an instruction. I want you to know that your provision is always at the end of an instruction.
Dear Father, I receive grace to be a doer of Your Word and every instruction you give me in this season, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
