Dearly Beloved,
Greetings of Grace and Peace in the Matchless Name of our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have been enlisted into the army of the kingdom of God and coopted as ambassadors and representatives of the priorities and purposes of God in every sphere of influence.
God has called us to provide a template for revival to the peoples of this world. So it behooves me to implore you to embrace the call to pray for our nation in these times. God’s will can only be done on earth when we pray. Prayer is inviting God to intervene in the affairs of men. The furtherance of God’s work in the earth depends on prayer.
It is obvious to every observing saint that we are in a spiritual war that has many headed manifestations. People are living in fear, burdened down by worry, hedged in by regulations and afflicted by lack and want.

There’s a need for God’s people to take their place in prayer to turn the tide around in favor of the church, to break the influence and power of satan over their nations and release God’s mercy and blessings on their countries.
There are many things in the divine plan that will not be fulfilled without prayer. God’s plan can be delayed, deterred or even denied when we don’t pray. Prayer is our means of partnering with God for the fulfillment of His plans and purposes in the earth. God is counting on you and I to make the difference and enforce the will of God in the earth through Prayer. See Matthew 9:37-38; Colossians 4:2-4; Ephesians 6:18-20; 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2.
2 Thessalonians 3:1-2 NKJVFinally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.
Every Christian has a ministry of prayer because according to the Scriptures we are all called to pray. It is part of our sacred responsibility and privileged role in God’s redemptive plan. Through prayer we become the vehicles for the advancement of God’s kingdom in the earth. You can read the words of our Lord Jesus and the admonition of the Apostles below:
Luke 18:1 KJVAnd he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Luke 18:7-8 NIVAnd will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
Psalms 103:6 NIVThe LORD works righteousnessand justice for all the oppressed.
1 Timothy 2:1-2 KJVI exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all menFor kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
1 Timothy 2:8 KJVI will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
James 5:16b AMPThe earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
It is time to demand for divine justice for the oppressed and afflicted in the earth. Through prayer we can bind the workings of the enemy in the earth. God delegated authority on earth to the church. It’s what we demand that God will do. His work on earth depends on our prayers.
The Bible says that whatever we bind on earth shall be bound in the heavens and whatever we loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. That’s a partnership. We can also loose God’s will in the earth by commanding and demanding things in line with the priorities, plans and purposes of the kingdom of God. See Matthew 16:19; 18:18.
1 Thessalonians 2:18 KJVWherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
1 Corinthians 16:9 KJVFor a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.
2 Chronicles 7:14 KJVIf my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Jeremiah 29:7 KJVAnd seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the Lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.
2 Thessalonians 3:1-2 KJVFinally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
Prayer affects outcomes when we pray correctly, that is, in line with God’s Written Word. Every prayer that lines up with God’s Word will be answered especially when it’s a prayer that favors the fulfillment of God’s will in the earth. For instance, when we pray for the advancement of the Gospel in the earth He dispatches men, materials and resources for the expansion of the Kingdom.

God commands us to pray for peace in our country because God cannot do anything on the earth until men prayer. God has delegated authority on earth to men. Divine activity on earth responds to the prayers of men. See 1 Timothy 2:1-4; Matthew 16:19; 18:18-20.
Therefore, it behooves us to yield to the Holy Spirit to guide us on how to pray effectively for our nation. If every believer, family or church will give themselves to prayer we can experience tremendous changes in our nation. God wants to heal our land. Will you pray? Will I pray? Nigeria needs prayer like never before.
Proverbs 21:1 KJVThe king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water:he turneth it whithersoever he will.
Ezra 1:1 KJVNow in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying.
History has always been shaped and influenced by the prayer of the saints. Let’s play our part now so that future generations can look back and see that our prayers preserved God’s plan for His Body and pushed back the workings and the influence of satan in our generation. Let’s brace up and pray. It’s in our hands now. Shalom
For the King and His Kingdom,
