Born Of God 2.

“Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God …” 1 John 5:1

Do you know that right now if you were to judge your future as a Christian, you should not look at your bloodline or your ancestry? You should look at who you are in Christ. You are born of God. That is what determines your future.

1 John 5:4 says, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” This means that every child of God is born with the capacity to win in life. Defeat and failure ended the day you got born again.

As a child of God you have overcome the world. The word ‘world’ in the Greek is ‘cosmos’ which refers to the world system. The word ‘overcomes’ is from the Greek word ‘nikao’ which means to win, to prevail, to conquer, to overcome, to subdue.

Therefore whatever is born of God overcomes the world; that is wins in the world, prevails in the world, conquers the world, overcomes the world and subdues the world. That means there is no way things will go wrong in the world and you will not be on top because of the quality of life that is in you. You have the life of God in you.

In the Name of Jesus, I declare according to 1 John 5:4 that I am born of God therefore I win in this world over all life’s fights and challenges. I prevail over all adversaries. I conquer, overcome and subdue this world in the Name of Jesus.
