Born of the Word 1.

Born of the Word 1.

“r you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:26 (NKJV)

According to our opening scripture, if you want to be a child of God, then you have to put your faith in Jesus Christ that He died for you, and when you confess Jesus as Lord, God imparts the life of God into your spirit.

In John 3:3 (NKJV) Jesus said, “… “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

The word ‘see’ means to be aware. This is why when we share some things like what we are learning in this month’s devotional, those who are not born again wonder how we can say that we are sons of God when we have flesh and blood. The truth is that they cannot see me in my spirit. So they are not aware or they cannot see the kingdom of God.

In John 3:4 (NKJV) the Bible says, “Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” He said this because Jesus was actually talking about an actual rebirth.

Jesus said, “… “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” John 3:5 (NKJV).

Water there refers to the Word of God. So if you are going to be born again, you have to be born of the Word; in other words, you have to believe in the Word of God.

1 Peter 1:23 (NKJV) says, “Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,”

When you believe the Word of God that Jesus died for your sins and that He was buried, and God raised Him again from the dead and confess His Lordship over your life, the life of God is imparted into your spirit through the Word you believed. Therefore you are born of the Word of God you believed.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare according to 1 Peter 1:23 that I am born again, not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible by the Word of God which lives and abides forever. Amen.
