Divine Potential 4

“Gideon replied, “With me, my master? If God is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all the miracle-wonders our parents and grandparents told us about, telling us, ‘Didn’t God deliver us from Egypt?’ The fact is, God has nothing to do with us — he has turned us over to Midian.”
But God faced him directly: “Go in this strength that is yours. Save Israel from Midian. Haven’t I just sent you?”
Judges 6:13-14 (MSG)

In our opening scripture today, Gideon was considering his challenges and present circumstances and as a result he was complaining to God based on his present experiences but when God answered him, He did not say anything about the challenges Gideon was pointing out with his complains, instead God said to him:

“Go in this strength that is yours. Save Israel from Midian. Haven’t I just sent you?”

Meaning your potential is far greater than your current reality.

Stop judging yourself based on what you have right now. Stop judging yourself based on what you are doing right now.

Judge yourself based on what God wants to accomplish through you. God sees you as a mighty man or woman of influence.

I know that most of you reading this devotional today are going to become billionaires in dollars. If you believe that, say, Amen.

Some of you will become owners of television stations, radio stations, universities, real estate properties, etc. Your businesses will be international.

That is the way God sees you and I encourage you to see yourself that way too.
