Faculty of Communion
“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
The third faculty of the human spirit is communion. That is where you worship and serve God. You fellowship with God with your spirit.
Romans 2:28-29 says, “For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.”
We serve God with our spirit. In Romans 1:9 Paul said, “For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son …”
The Bible says in Philippians 3:3 (AMP), “For we [Christians] are the true circumcision, who worship God in spirit and by the Spirit of God and exult and glory and pride ourselves in Jesus Christ, and put no confidence or dependence [on what we are] in the flesh and on outward privileges and physical advantages and external appearances”
I encourage you to serve God with all your heart because that is the faculty of communion.
Dear Father, I ask that You sanctify and preserve my whole spirit, soul and body until the coming of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
