Imagine Your Future
“And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.” Genesis 15:4-5
We see in our opening scripture today that for God to expand the vision of Abraham, he had to change his inner imagination by giving him a new picture of himself.
Initially, Abraham saw himself as going childless but when God told him to look to the heaven and number the stars, his vision was expanded and he saw the possibility of having multitudes and the Bible says, “And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.” Genesis 15:6.
As God enlarges your vision and you begin to see the future, I encourage you to write down what you see. It has been said that when you write down a vision, a goal or a dream, you empower yourself three times over to accomplish it.
Writing crystalizes your thinking. When you write, a message is sent to your brain on what you wrote.
That is why it is important to write down your goal or dream in life every day. Keep writing it afresh every day. As you do, you are sending a message to your brain daily which will help you to capture it in your imagination. When your dream is captured in your imagination, it becomes inevitable.
Please read Colossians 1:9-11 and Philippians 1:9-11 and ask God to give you ideas and strategies that will increase your productivity.
