Know Your Identity 1 .

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion …” Genesis 1:26

Our opening scripture today reveals to us that identity comes before authority. You cannot function in authority consistently without knowing your identity.

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion …” God is saying that when they know they are like us they will function in dominion.

In 1 John 5:4 the Bible says, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world …” Notice he didn’t say that he is going to overcome the world. He says that if he is born of God he will win in life.

The key to consistent victory is understanding your identity; knowing who you are in Christ. 1 John 5:4 says, “For whatsoever …” That means whoever it is, if he is born of God he or she cannot fail.

Someone may say but Christians are failing. It is because they don’t know who they are. Ignorance is a saboteur of destiny. When you know who you are, victory flows spontaneously. You will just walk and flow in victory.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare according to the Word of God that greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. Amen.
