Know Your Identity 1
“With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused. Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him.” Ephesians 4:17-18 (NLT)
Today I want you to know that the man who has received the life and nature of God is not like the natural human being. He is called the new creation. Though he may have flesh and blood but he is more than the natural human being.
This is why it is important for you to understand your true identity as a Christian. You are a superman. This means you are a superior man who has learnt to forego fleeting pleasures and have attained happiness and dominance through the exercise of his creative powers. The creative power here comes from God.
The unbeliever is a slave of sin but you are not as a Christian who have received the life and nature of God.
Romans 6:14 says, “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”
As a Christian you are not a slave of sin. Sin is no longer your master therefore do not obey but forego the fleeting pleasures of the flesh.
Please read Ephesians 1:17 and ask God to give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

Meditate on Romans 6:11, “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
