Know Your Identity 2.
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world …” 1 John 5:4.
The word ‘overcometh’ in the Greek is the word ‘nikao’; this means ‘to get the victory’, ‘to prevail’, ‘to win’, ‘to subdue’, to conquer’, ‘to overcome’. These are six basic definitions.
If we put them in our opening scripture, it will read thus, “For whatsoever is born of God gets the victory over the world.” That means if all the world comes against you, you will still win, because those who are with you are more than those who are with them.
“For whatsoever is born of God subdues the world.” That means there is no circumstance big enough to overcome the child of God. So anywhere you are and everywhere you are, you are designed to win. It’s in your DNA. There is no failure in you. Declare out loud, “There is no failure in me.”
The Bible says, “For whatsoever …” It does not matter if you are a woman or a man. If you are born of God the Bible says you overcome the world. So when it comes to winning in life it does not matter who is coming against you, you are guaranteed victory as a child of God. Praise God.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare by my faith in the Word of God that I have received abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness, therefore I reign in life by Jesus Christ. Amen.
