Love In Sincerity 1
“But as you abound in everything — in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us — see that you abound in this grace also. I speak not by commandment, but I am testing the sincerity of your love …”
2 Corinthians 8:7-8 (NKJV)
Do you know you can love the Lord and not be sincere in your love for Him?
You cannot tell how much you truly love the Lord until the real trial comes. That is when you will know if you really love Him.
If you don’t get what you want, will you still love the Lord? Those are the things that judge the sincerity of our love for the Lord.
In Ephesians 6:24 (NKJV) the Bible says, “Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.” This is because not everyone actually loves the Lord in sincerity, some are just faking it.
Can you remember those times you gave for things in the house of God without you being asked? It was because your love was sincere.
If you have to be persuaded again and again before you give in the house of God it is because your love has waxed cold. Personally, I want to be passionate for the One I love till I see His face.
In 2002, I was washing my clothes in my bathroom and I said Lord I will not ask you for cars or houses. One thing I am going to ask of you is to let my love burn on for you forever and He has been faithful because I am a Jesus addict and He has also given me cars and houses. Praise God.
Dear Father, I ask that You cause my love to burn on for you forever, more and more, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
