Love Is The Greatest 1

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV)

From today I will like us to examine 1 Corinthians 13 together and let us learn how we ought to love according to the scriptures.

1 Corinthians 13:1 (AMP) says, “IF I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God’s love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.” This reveals to us that language without love is noise.

1 Corinthians 13:2 (AMP) says, “And if I have prophetic powers (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (God’s love in me) I am nothing (a useless nobody).” This means that even if your faith is producing results and you do not have love, you are nothing.

Do you know you can be popular with men and be unpopular with God? If you don’t want to be a useless nobody in the sight of God. I encourage you to love others with the God-kind of love.

Please read Matthew 9:36 and ask the Father to give you His compassion for the lost.
