March Letter IX

Dearly Beloved,
Love Greetings in the Matchless Name of our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have access to the Love of God the Father. Grace, Mercy and Peace from God the Father from whom all blessings flow and from Jesus Christ in whom we live, move and have our beings.

The God we serve is a good God. He is essentially good. He is good and goodness Personified. God always seeks to do good. If you observe the acts of God and His dealings with God from Genesis through Revelation you will see that God is Love, Merciful and slow to anger.

Consider the betrayal of Adam and Eve in the beginning. God came to them and covered their nakedness after proclaiming the consequences of their sin. In the midst of it, He prophesied about the coming Messiah. God was willing to protect evil Cain after pronouncing the consequences of his wrongdoing. See Genesis 3:1-22; 4:1-15.

Lamentations 3:31-33 NKJV
For the Lord will not cast off forever.
Though He causes grief,
Yet He will show compassion
According to the multitude of His mercies.
For He does not afflict willingly,
Nor grieve the children of men.

In wrath God remembers mercy. God always finds a way to bless humanity. God is merciful! His mercies are new every morning. He gives us a new chance every morning. God is not through with you. God is not fed up with you. God is compassionate to the broken and the weak.

Exodus 34:5-9 NKJV
Now the LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”
So Moses made haste and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped. Then he said, “If now I have found grace in Your sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray, go among us, even though we are stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance.”

Even if you are the prodigal son, stubborn, obstinate, selfish and bent on your own way and interests, God is patiently waiting to receive you back if you repent and come to Him. God loves you unconditionally. He also loves you endlessly.

He will turn your mess into a message. He will turn your tests into testimonies. He uses the foolish things to confound the wise. He uses weak things to overcome the strong and mighty things. Men may call you weak, worthless and useless but if you put yourself in God’s hands, He will make your life a beauty and a wonder to the world. See 1 Corinthians 1:26-29.

Saul becomes a Paul. Simon the denier becomes Peter the confident. Abram the fearful becomes Abraham the Father of many nations. Jacob the deceiver becomes Israel the father of a nation.

People make mistakes. You are not the only one that has fallen, sinned or has flaws. But there is a Potter our Maker who works on us, builds us and transforms us until our lives become a testimony of God’s transforming grace. Will you turn to God? Will you go to the throne of grace? Will you put yourself in God’s hands? God wants to make your life beautiful. Will you let Him?
