March Letter XXVII:
Greetings of Goodwill, Peace and Bliss in the Matchless Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by whom we have been given a strong consolation of hope in the face of life’s challenges.
Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” See John 16:33. Christ did not deny that we would have challenges in this world, but He reassures us that He has overcome the world. So we need to be cheerful in spite of the everyday challenges.
The Amplified Classic Version presents it differently with an accentuated emphasis. It reads thus, “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.” See John 16:33 AMPC
We are not a bunch of hopeless religious fanatics. We serve a God who knows all the details about our future and has already provided the remedies and the solutions for us before the problems happen. Isn’t this wonderful to know? Nothing takes God by surprise. He sees the problem and provides a way of escape before we ever experience the difficulty.
Your life is not an experiment. It is a well planned script ordained to be an unending success story. God declares the end from the beginning. His plan never fails. History has a way of moving in the direction of Divinely foretold prophecies. It never ceases to amaze me when I read of a future prophetic happening and I see humanity walking in line to fulfill it. That tells you that God has seen it all and He is at rest. The Scripture cannot be broken. It is finished.
You too should be at rest. God has seen your future. He has seen all the problems, difficulties, crises and challenges that will come your way throughout your lifetime and yet He has shown you many great and inspiring things He has planned for you to do.
No matter what comes your way let nothing deter you. Remember the prophetic words given to you. None of them will fall to the ground unfulfilled. God is committed to every Word He speaks. He won’t let His Word fall to the ground. He won’t disappoint you. You can trust Him. Selah
Remember the life of Joseph. His life was one endless streak of injustice, envies, betrayal and human disappointment. It looked like his dreams will never come to pass but they did in a grander and greater way than he could ever imagine.
God is not a respecter of persons. It may look like your dreams will never come to pass. It may look like the devil is winning but there will be a sudden turnaround and you will see things change in your favor and your most cherished God given dreams will be accomplished and much more.
God has not forgotten you. The path of destiny is fraught with many dangers, distractions and detours. It may look like Jesus is dead and gone but he will rise again on the third day. It may look like Jonah is swallowed up forever but the fish will spew him out into Nineveh. It may look like David will never become King but the tide will turn and he will ascend the throne.
What does your life look like now? Disappointing, depressed and unraveling? Wait a minute. Hang in there in faith and God will step in to turn the tide in your favor. Divine stories always end well. Sarah shall have a son. Yes Elizabeth will have a boy. Moses will have a second chance. Peter will come back stronger. Saul will become Paul and John Mark will have another chance. Your life is not over. This is only a set up for a greater comeback. Selah.
