Pass Your Test
“Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.”
Genesis 22:1-3 (NKJV)
God loves you unconditionally, but He will first test you before He trusts you. God will not give you your dream until He first tests you. Most of the time, it is in the place of the testing we miss it. Do not allow your desire to be great cause you to become impatient with God. What God has said to you will surely come to pass. You do not have to compromise in any way to help God bring His Word to pass.
You may look at what God has said to you and feel it is taking a long time in coming to pass. True. This seeming delay becomes an opportunity for God to prepare you for what He has prepared for you. Why does He prepare you first? It is because the worst thing that could ever happen to anyone is to succeed before he is ready.
When Abraham passed his test as seen in our opening scripture, God said to him, “… “Abraham, Abraham!” So he said, “Here I am.” And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from
Me.” Genesis 22:11-12 (NKJV)
Dear Father, I thank You because You are at work in me both to will and to do of Your good pleasure, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
