Put No Confidence In The Flesh 1.

“For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,” Philippians 3:3 (NKJV)

When you study the Bible, you will be able to understand the mind of the Father, but many times, we allow people to tell us what it is. I encourage you to read the Bible for yourself. Go back to the scriptures we have given to you throughout this month and study them for yourself to have an understanding, a revelation and a conviction of your true identity in Christ as a believer.

Our opening scripture says that we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Now when you are looking at yourself based on what you have done and what you haven’t done then there will be room for boasting and a tendency to begin to esteem yourself better than others. But when you realize that by the deeds of the Law no one is justified in the sight of God, then your confidence and faith will be in Jesus Christ for righteousness.

This was why the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 3:7-9 (NKJV), “But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;”

Confession.
Dear Father, I thank You for the gift of righteousness you have given to me by Your mercy and grace. Therefore I declare that I am the circumcision who worship God in the Spirit and rejoice in Christ Jesus and I have no confidence in the flesh.
