Put No Confidence In The Flesh 3.
“And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;” Philippians 3:9 (NKJV)
I want you to know that when you get to this point described by the Apostle Paul in our opening scripture, it is then you will be able to experience what the Apostle Paul talks about in Philippians 3:10 (NKJV), “that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection …”
There is a knowledge, power and anointing in God you cannot walk in when you are arrogant. You must come to a point where you can say, “It’s all God.” And the more humble you are, by lifting up Christ and giving Him credit for what He does in your life, the more God will do in your life.
The reason many are not receiving from God the way they should is because they still pride themselves in their own good works. I believe in good works, but we are not saved by good works. We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ for good works.
Ephesians 2:8-10 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
So you are not saved by good works, you are saved for good works. You are saved by grace. And the grace that saves you is the grace that sanctifies you to live right. Therefore live right because you are saved.
Dear Father, I thank You because You are at work in me both to will and to do of Your good pleasure, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
