Recognize Him As Lord
“Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.” And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.” The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.” Matthew 8:5-8 (NKJV)
Jesus is Lord over devils, angels, governments, and all other power and authority yet He will never force you to submit to His Lordship. He wants you to submit to Him because you love Him.
This is because love is not love until you have a choice. Therefore, God gives you the opportunity to make a choice to love Him.
Until you get to know Jesus as Lord, there is a certain measure of faith you will not function in.
Our opening scripture reveals to us that the centurion who came to Jesus recognized Him as Lord (Supreme in authority). When you begin to recognize Jesus as Supreme in authority, your faith will know no bounds.
The Centurion said, “For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!” Matthew 8:9-10 (NKJV).
When you are under the authority of Jesus, your faith will have no limits.

Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
