Renew Your Mind.

Renew Your Mind.

“Throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.” Ephesians 4:22-24 (NLT)

Today I want you to know that as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, our opening scripture instructs that you throw off your sinful nature. In other words, stop honouring your physical body and allowing it control you. Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes by getting to know who you really are.

If you are struggling with sin as a Christian it is because you are allowing your flesh to control you. You are not your flesh or your body, your body is your house. You are in control of your house. You determine who comes into your house because you are in charge.

Therefore I want you to know that you are not a victim of the devil or your fleshly desires, you are in charge of your house. So be renewed in the spirit of your mind; allow the knowledge of who you are dominate your thinking and you will live in consistent victory over sin, over devils and over the flesh with all its affections and lusts.

Dear Father, I ask that You strengthen me with might according to the riches of Your glory by Your Spirit in my inward man. I receive strength to do what I ought to do and to refuse to do what I should not do, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
