Rest In God’s Faithfulness 2
“Blessed be the Lord, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.” 1 Kings 8:56.
Yesterday we learnt that faith is confident rest in the faithfulness of God. What does it mean to be faithful? To be faithful is to be dependable, reliable and trustworthy. This means that since God is faithful, it means that He is dependable. God has always done what He says.
God has said, “The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.” Psalm 121:8. Take God at His Word and know that you are preserved in your going out and in your coming in.
The Bible says in Joshua 21:45 (NKJV), “Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.” Take God at His Word. God is faithful concerning every good Word He has spoken to you and He will cause everyone to come to pass just as He has said. Just rest in the faithfulness of God. You shall live long and see many good days and you shall see your children’s children.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that my going out is blessed and my coming in is blessed. I shall lie down and none shall make me afraid. I shall see my children’s children, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
