Seeing Your Prophecies Fulfilled
Greetings in the Matchless Name of our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have received the grace and apostleship for obedience of faith amongst all nations.
This is a Month of Spirit. God is bringing closure to cycles of pain and frustration and releasing His Body into a time of great blessing and unprecedented increase. Hallelujah!!!
For many whenever they receive a Word from God, they just relax and wait for something to happen. But sadly, things remain the same. The fulfillment of any prophetic word requires both divine and human cooperation.
Let me show you Scriptural examples. For instance, God promised to take the children of Israel into the Promised Land of Canaan but they didn’t enter until the second generation. Why? Was it that God failed to keep His promise? No. A thousand times no. God wanted them to go into the Promised Land but they kept on complaining and wishing they were in Egypt. In fact, Acts 7:39 says, “They returned back to Egypt in their hearts.” See also Numbers 14:1-4,11,26-37; 21:4-9; Psalm 78:41.
There are many things God promised many of us that seems elusive because we don’t know that we have a part to play in their fulfillment. The children of Israel lost out because of their negativity in thinking and in talking. This could also be limiting you. Watch your mouth. Your words can hinder, limit or release and propel you into destiny. It matters what you say. See Proverbs 18:20-21; 13:2-3. The way you think could also be a limiting factor. For it is written, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” See Proverbs 23:7. Your mentality determines the quality of life and decides the outcomes of your life. See Genesis 11:6; Ephesians 4:17-18.
Whether you fulfill your destiny or not is NOT up to God, it is up to you. Really? Yes. This is because God has done everything it takes for you to fulfill destiny. The works were finished from the foundation of the world. God has preplanned a successful life for you. See Jeremiah 29:11-13; 3 John 2.
This reminds me of Paul’s words to Timothy in 1 Timothy 1:18 which reads thus, “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare.” Paul was charging Timothy to pray and engage in spiritual warfare for the fulfillment of the prophecies spoken concerning him. This is because of the unseen forces that hinder progress.
You don’t sit and wait. You contend in prayers for what God has promised. There are spiritual forces who seek to hinder the fulfillment of what God promised you or called you to do. That’s why you need to pray. Paul said, “A great door and effectual is opened unto me and there are many adversaries.” See 1 Corinthians 16:9. You have to contend for what is yours in prayers. See Romans 1:13 NKJV; 1 Thessalonians 2:18.
In the same vein, Paul advised Timothy his spiritual son in the faith in the Scriptures below:
1 Timothy 4:14-15 NKJV
Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.
When God gives a Word, pray with the promises demanding their manifestation. See Isaiah 45:11; Genesis 32:9-12; 2 Samuel 7:25-29. Give time to meditate on the promises to build your faith in those promises. What you believe is what will manifest in your life. Meditation is the anchor of conviction and conviction is the fountain of confession and the mother of manifestation. Gather the promises that God has given to you and start meditating on them, confessing them and praying with them and what God has said concerning you in this season WILL COME TO PASS. Selah
