September Letter: Unity
Love Greetings in the Matchless Name of our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have received grace and apostleship for obedience of faith amongst all nations.
It gives me great joy to continue with the teachings on unity that we began on the 1st September, 2020. We seek to encourage mutual love and unity amongst couples, families, churches, cities and nations.
We live in a wicked world but God tells us to “overcome evil with good.” Love is intentional. It is an act of the will. It is the decisive commitment to do good to another irrespective of circumstances for the greater good of all. It is the irrevocable commitment to the wellbeing of another.
As believers we need to realize that we have the Life and Nature of God and God is Love. Therefore, it is obvious that we have the Nature of Love because Love is the essence of God’s Nature. The Love of God is in us now. We have the capacity to love others unconditionally consistently by the grace of God at work within us. See 1 Thessalonians 3:12-13; 4:9-10; 2 Thessalonians 1:3.
It is knowing who we are that transforms our behavior and our character. It has been said “Everyone acts in a way and manner consistent with their self perception.” When you realize that you have the Love Nature of God and you accept it as the true picture of who you are, you will begin to act like a lover of God and a lover of people.
Hate is inconsistent with who you are. Hate is the nature of satan. He is the ultimate hater and the embodiment of wickedness. You have been born of God. You have the Love of God shed abroad in your heart.
You are a Love child of a Love God. Be awakened to who you are. As you learn to act in line with our new nature, you will begin to see more of God’s power flow through you and amongst you. Hallelujah!
God wants to express His Love through you to other believers. Make up your mind to be the reflection of God’s love to everyone around you. God needs a witness. You are that witness. He will love others through you. May God grant you the revelation and the insight to live the life He ordained for you to live in Jesus Name, Amen.
John 13:34-35; 1 Corinthians 1:10; 2 Thessalonians 3:16; Hebrews 12:14; 1 John 4:7-8; Romans 5:5; 1 John 5:1-3; 1 John 3:16-18
Scripture for Meditation:
John 13:34-35 NKJV
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Word For the Day:
“Your love for other believers is the outward evidence of your devotion to Christ.”
