Take God At His Word.
“And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.” Matthew 8:5-8
Faith is taking God at His Word. When you are in faith you take God at His Word. Faith is taking the Word of God at face value. That means you believe God said what He meant and meant what He said.
Jesus said to the centurion in our opening scripture whose servant was sick, “I will come and heal him.” That would take time and distance because He would have to walk there to pray for the servant.
The centurion said to Jesus, “Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.”
Because of the expression of this great faith by the centurion time collapsed and Jesus said to him, “Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.” Praise God.
