Thank God In Advance
“Elijah said to Ahab, “Up on your feet! Eat and drink — celebrate! Rain is on the way; I hear it coming.” 1 Kings 18:41 (MSG)
Today I want to encourage you to always give thanks to God even before you see the completion of all that you have asked for or expect.
Thank God faithfully for every progress you see in your life no matter how small it seems because thanksgiving is an application for more.
For instance, if you are believing God for a suit and someone gives you a tie, thank Him for the tie, that is a sign you are going to get the suit.
As you thank Him for the tie, He will give you a shirt: that is another sign the suit is getting closer.
Instead of complaining see it as a sign and thank Him for the shirt. As you thank Him for the shirt, He will give you a suit.
When a woman is believing God for a child, immediately she misses her period, she starts thanking God even though she has not seen a baby yet. Missing her period is a sign that the child she is expecting is on the way.
If you are believing God for shoes and someone gives you stockings, that is a sign that the shoes are on the way with which you are going to wear the stockings.
I encourage you to learn to thank God in advance for the signs you see instead of complaining.
Dear Father, I thank You for my salvation. Thank You Father for the ability to hear Your voice. Thank You Father for all Your provisions. Thank You Father for food to eat. Thank You Father for all I have been able to accomplish this year, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
