The Believer’s Identity.
“Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are
you? .” Acts 19:15(NKJV)
In this month’s devotional we are going to be looking at ‘The Believer’s Identity’. Who are you as a believer?.
It is important we know that every one of us is acting in a way and manner consistent with the way we see ourselves. That is why it is important you know your identity as a believer.
What is identity? “…Identity is the distinguishing character or personality of an individual.” In other words, what makes you stand out? What makes you different?
Your identity defines you. It defines who you are and why you act the way you do. Every one of us acts the way we act based on our identity.
Your identity also determines your sense of security. This is because if you don’t know who you are then anyone can define you and label you.
Knowing your identity in Christ confers on you an audacity, a boldness and great authority. When you know who you are, there is a boldness you will have.
Therefore I encourage you to give rapt attention to the things you will be learning in this month’s devotional as it will unveil to you your identity.
In the Name of Jesus I declare that “I am a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own special person, that I may proclaim the praises of Him who called me out of darkness into His marvelous light.
