The Character of Divinity

“And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;” Ephesians 5:2-3

The Christian is not an ordinary person. The life and nature of God is now inside of him. It means we have the ability to live above sin as Christians. Jesus cannot perpetuate a life of sin, and as He is so are we in this world.

To live a life of sin as a Christian is to devalue the essence of Christianity. According to our opening scripture “… fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;” Such things should not be a discussion among us.

Ephesians 5:3-4 (MSG) says, “Don’t allow love to turn into lust, setting off a downhill slide into sexual promiscuity, filthy practices, or bullying greed. Though some tongues just love the taste of gossip, Christians have better uses for language than that. Don’t talk dirty or silly. That kind of talk doesn’t fit our style. Thanksgiving is our dialect.”

Therefore as a Christian know that a sinful lifestyle is not in your character and should have no place in you.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that You cause my love to abound more and more in knowledge and in all judgment, so that I may approve things that are excellent and remain sincere and without offence till the day of Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Read further study scriptures here:

Ephesians 4:29 (KJV)

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Philippians 1:27 (KJV)

Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Colossians 3:1-10 (NKJV)
If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,
