The Condition Of Your Spirit.

The Condition Of Your Spirit.

“`“But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price..”“` 1 Peter 3:4

Your character according to our opening scripture is an outward expression of the condition of your spirit.

For instance, when the Bible speaks of anger in the Old Testament in Ecclesiastes 7:9, the Bible says, “Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry …” .This refers to being short spirited. Longsuffering refers to being long spirited.

Therefore your behaviour and your character is actually a reflection of the condition of your spirit. The condition of your spirit affects every area of your life. It affects your finances, your marriage, job, your attitude to work, etc.

So if you focus on developing your spirit, your character will improve. You will have what the Bible calls the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that the love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit who lives in me. I have a meek and quiet spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
