The Divine Element 1.

“For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.”
John 19:36-37.

The Bible is the Word of God because of the divine element. For instance if you look at the life of Jesus it was just scripture being fulfilled. Even the way Jesus died was scripture being fulfilled.

For instance, it is normal for the Romans to break the legs of those who are crucified on the cross to hasten their death when it starts getting late, but amazingly, this wonderful Jesus died in about six hours after He was crucified.

He was on the cross from 9am to 3pm. It was a shock that he died so quickly so that the scriptures can be fulfilled that none of his bones shall be broken proving that the Bible is the Word of God. (See Psalm 34:20)

“It was the day of preparation, and the Jewish leaders didn’t want the bodies hanging there the next day, which was the Sabbath (and a very special Sabbath, because it was the Passover). So they asked Pilate to hasten their deaths by ordering that their legs be broken. Then their bodies could be taken down. So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the two men crucified with Jesus. But when they came to Jesus, they saw that he was already dead, so they didn’t break his legs. One of the soldiers, however, pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water flowed out. (This report is from an eyewitness giving an accurate account. He speaks the truth so that you also can believe.) These things happened in fulfillment of the Scriptures that say, “Not one of his bones will be broken,” and “They will look on the one they pierced.” John 19:31-37 (NLT)

The Bible is divine because of its accuracy in the prophecies concerning Jesus the Son of God.

Express your thanksgiving and praise to the Father who gave Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for our salvation and well-being.
