The life of Faith

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

In this month’s devotional we are going to be learning about the life of faith. This is important because faith is the currency of the kingdom of God. You can never take delivery or receive anything from God without faith.

Faith is non-negotiable in the kingdom of God that is why the Bible says in our opening scripture, “… for he that cometh to God must believe …” If you are going to get it from God, then you have to get it by faith. There is no other way.

Mark 11:24 says, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

Notice that the Bible says that you should believe that you receive them and you shall have them. That means believing is receiving.

So what you don’t have right now is what you didn’t believe you could receive. God is not denying you anything. You decided your lot in life by what you could believe for.

Based on what you have learnt today, pray in faith about your needs and believe you receive with thanksgiving all you ask for.

Matthew 7:7-11 (NKJV)

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Matthew 21:22 (NKJV)

And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

John 16:23-24 (NKJV)
“And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
