The Power of Thanksgiving 1
Greetings of Grace and Peace from the heart of God the Father in the Name of Jesus Christ by whom we have access to the riches of the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
God has brought us this far by His grace and His mercies. Without God’s blessings and His favor none of us can experience true progress. Selah! Please learn to give God the credit for every little progress you experience. That is the way of humility. Proud people are never grateful. They never acknowledge God as the source of all good things that comes into their lives.
James 1:17 KJV
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
This means God only gives good things. He never gives bad things. God is good. He is full of goodness. There’s no badness in God. Everything that God does is to make us better and it’s all good. He never gives evil. The devil is the author of all evil. God is the source of true goodness.
John 3:27 KJV
John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
Accredit all good things as coming down from the Lord. Give Him thanks. Testify about it. Tell everyone that it is the Lord that did. Don’t arrogate to yourself the glory and the credit that only God deserves. Ingratitude is a form of pride. It will slow you down.
1 Corinthians 4:7 KJV
For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
Everything we have become, done or have today are the results of God’s investments in our lives. God is calling us to a life of humility. Be careful to give God the glory for every blessing, progress or breakthrough you experience. See Acts 12:20-23; Psalm 115:1. God amplifies or increases whatever we are grateful for. Whatever we complain about becomes worse. See Numbers 21:4-9. Whatever we learn to appreciate becomes bigger, better and sweeter. Selah
One thing that will help you maximize the blessings and benefits that this year brings is to maintain an attitude of gratitude. Gratitude activates the power of God. See Acts 16:25-26. The atmosphere of gratitude is the environment of supernatural multiplication.
It was an atmosphere of praise and thanksgiving that released the glory of the Lord during the dedication of the temple. See 2 Chronicles 5:11-14. It was also praise and gratitude that also led to the miraculous deliverance that Jehoshaphat and the children of Israel experienced in the Old Testament. See 2 Chronicles 20:20-36.
Thanksgiving creates the atmosphere for uncommon miracles. Bread and fish multiplied in the New Testament when Jesus gave thanks for the little boy’s lunch He was given. Little becomes much when we are grateful to God. Jesus raised Lazarus in an attitude of thanksgiving.
We have entered a season of unusual miracles. This is a Month of New Things. God is unlocking the doors to new levels of blessings and favors that we have never known before. He is opening new portals. We are in a season of God sized miracles: Deeds that will make people wonder about God’s involvement in your life.
God seeks to show up on your behalf in a BIGGER way. He wants to show off His Power, Provision and His goodness on your behalf. All this can only happen when we maintain an attitude of gratitude to create an atmosphere for God to do things that are exceeding abundantly above all that you ask or think. Selah
