Greetings in the Matchless Name of our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have gained access to the inner counsels of the Lord through the Power of the Holy Spirit.
Today I want to continue our discussion on Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the heartfelt expression of gratitude and appreciation to God for what He has done, what He is doing or what you expect Him to do.
The attitude of gratitude is one of the habits that when mastered can make your life a continuous journey of blessings and increase. Complaining is the opposite of gratitude. Those who complain remain stuck in the past and never make meaningful progress. But those who maintain the attitude of gratitude soar to higher altitudes of greater accomplishments and uncommon achievements. See John 6:5-13; 11:38-44.
This was obvious in the life of Jesus Christ our Lord. He was always grateful. He gave thanks for five loaves and two fishes. When we always find something to be grateful for, it gives us a positive outlook on life. Gratitude fuels positivity. It affects your confession and your outlook on life. But complaining does the opposite. The more you complain, the worse life becomes. In fact, if you look at Numbers 21:4-9, you will notice that bitterness and complaining opens the door to the devil. Complaining licenses the devil to oppress you.
Complaining can lead to an early grave. It can result in a loss of heritage or opportunities. The children of Israel did not get into their inheritance because of negative confession and a negative mindset. The more you talk about a problem, the bigger it gets in your mind and it becomes an obsession. But if you focus on thanking God for the little good you see around you, the more good you will see. Thanksgiving clarifies the mind and refines the imagination.
Stop complaining. Please take out a piece of paper or a note to write down the good things you can see in your life or notice in your environment that you can be grateful for. Developing an attitude of gratitude will deliver you from negativity. Thanksgiving is a multiplier. It will make your life better. It will make your marriage better. Cultivate the attitude of gratitude and your life will be more fruitful and fulfilling. Selah
