The Realm Of Death.

The Realm Of Death.

“This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:” Ephesians 4:17-18

The man that is not born again does not have eternal life because he is spiritually dead.

There are three types of death. The first type of death is spiritual death. Ephesians 2:1 says, “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;” The death being referred to here is spiritual death which is separation from God.

The second type of death is physical death. James 2:26 says, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” Physical death is when your spirit leaves your body.

The third type of death is known as the ‘second death’. Revelation 2:11 says, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.” The ‘second death’ is being cast into the lake of fire. This is eternal damnation.

From the above, we see that death is an experience which manifests as spiritual death or physical death or the second death.

The fourth expression of death is that death is a realm. The man that is not born again is in the realm of death. In other words, he is dying every day because he is in the realm of death.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare by my faith in Jesus Christ that the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in me. That same Spirit vitalizes my mortal body, quickens my spirit and delivers me from condemnation and death, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
