Lessons From Jesus 4

“But so many people were coming and going that
Jesus and the apostles did not even have a chance to
eat. Then Jesus said, “Let’s go to a place where we
can be alone and get some rest.” They left in a boat
for a place where they could be alone.”
Mark 6:31-32 (CEV)

Our opening scripture reveals another principle you can also practice in your business. That principle is ‘rest’. Do you
have time to rest? Have you observed that in certain big organizations, the leaders have a time when they go on a vacation? This shows you that whenever you see a principle that works, that is legal and moral, you will find it in the Word of God.

Let’s see another principle in Mark 6:34, “And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.” Here Jesus identified a need and began to meet it. If you are going to succeed in business you will have to find a need nobody is meeting and meet it quickly and cheaply then you will be ahead in business. This is Jesus teaching you how to do business.

Jesus calls to you to follow Him and He will make you, yet there are many who will not read the Bible because they feel the Bible is a religious book. No, the Bible is more than a religious book. There is no success book that doesn’t steal Biblical principles. For instance, the principle of positive confession, positive thinking, etc. came from the Word of God. But the reason why some of these principles are not producing the results it should produce in many lives is because it has been detached from the root; that root is Christ.
