Prosperity with a Purpose
The Primary Purposes of Prosperity
Wisdom is good with an inheritance, And profitable to those who see the sun. For wisdom is a defense as money is a defense, But the excellence of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it
God is saying we should both have money and wisdom.
Why God prospers you.
1. For His glory of God.
2. To demonstrate His goodness:
3. To establish His Covenant.
So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.
Service is a gate way to health.
Serving God should not be on you own personal term, but on God’s personal terms.
1. Every man in life is affected by his level of wisdom.
Ecclesiastes 10:10 (NKJV)
If the ax is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge, Then he must use more strength; But wisdom [a]brings success.
Wisdom is the ability to increase success.
2. When you serve God on His terms, you will live a fulfilling life.
Obedience prolongs your life
Deuteronomy 28:1 (NKJV)
Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.
3. If we impact people, then the income will comes in.
If you want to prosper for the advancement of God Kingdom, then God will increase you.
Mark 13:10 (KJV)
And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
God prospers us so that we can fund the kingdom.
Ezra 2:68-69 (NKJV)
Some of the heads of the father’s houses, when they came to the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God, to erect it in its place: According to their ability, they gave to the treasury for the work sixty-one thousand gold drachmas, five thousand minas of silver, and one hundred priestly garments
4. For the demonstration of His dominion through us.
Money is power in the natural realm.
Proverbs 22:7 (NKJV)
The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender.
Money gives authority in the natural realm.
5. To reward our obedience and our service in the kingdom of God.
Prosperity is a reward. It is also a kingdom motivator.
Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.
The blessing is the divine empowerment to prosper.
6. To amplify the voice of the Gospel and to find its spread. It takes money to spread the Gospel.
Money is a tool. Money is a facilitator.
Luke 8:1-3 (NKJV)
Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him, and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.
7. To fund the needs or causes of His Kingdom.
The primary reason why God blesses or prospers us is for the purpose of funding the needs of the kingdom of God.
2 Corinthians 9:8 (NKJV)
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
