Secrets of Significant Living
Greetings of Grace, Mercy and Peace in the Matchless Name of our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have received the mandate to “Provide inspiration for an oncoming generation.”
God ordained each one of us to make an impact that will last for generations to come. He ordained your life and your works to keep on speaking after you have left this world. This will happen if you make God’s will the central aim for your life. But many focus on simply surviving by accumulating material things and indulging in the transient pleasures of this life. See Hebrews 11:24-27; 12:2; Acts 13:36.
To become a generational leader you have to live intentionally and intelligently. To simply take life as it comes is simply a waste of one’s life. Life lived without a definite purpose is a missed opportunity. You have to live purposefully with a definite goal or aim for which you have to live and expend all your God given resources if you want your life to make a difference for generations to come. See Acts 20:24; Philippians 3:12-14; Acts 26:16-19.
In the year 1999, The Lord told me that “The man who has nothing to die for has nothing to live for.” He was stirring me to live passionately for the call on my life without shrinking from any sacrifice. It was later that I found out that Martin Luther King Jr said, “The man who has nothing to die for is not fit to live.” It is quite similar to what the Lord told me. See John 12:24; Galatians 2:20.
To live an impactful life you must define your purpose for living by discovering why you were born. Everyone of us was born to fulfill a God given purpose. In fact, Purpose is your permission for entry into the earth. Discovering God’s purpose gives your life meaning and direction. You know where to focus all your energies and your time. Jeremiah 1:4-10; Proverbs 29:18; Psalm 139:14-16 NIV.
All Successful people both in the religious and secular circles of life are people who have a clear and concise vision for their lives. You cannot make a significant impact in this world if you don’t have a definite focus or aim in life. This is the first step to meaningful success. There are many people who are seemingly successful but are unhappy, depressed and suicidal because there’s no eternal purpose for their success. See Ecclesiastes 1:1-18; 2:28
During this time of our mid year fasting and prayer, it is important to clarify your vision if you have already received yours. If you don’t know why you were born, then this is a time to discover why. Get alone with God and let Him show you His dreams and His visions for your life. God has very BIG plans for your life. He has a plan and purpose for your life that will magnify Him before others and make Him real to the next generation. May you find it in Jesus Name, Amen!
Once you discover your purpose, you will unleash your potential, refine your dreams, confine your investments and streamline your focus towards the accomplishment of your one BIG thing for which you have to live. You were born to leave a mark that will define and shape the future of human existence in your sphere, your city, state or nation.
God dreams BIG. He raised local fishermen from Galilee and gave them a global vision. This is because the size of every God given dream will always require dependence on God and cooperation with God’s Spirit for its fulfillment. Get alone with God in this season and let heaven download a clear and compelling picture of the future into your heart that will motivate you to live intelligently and intentionally as you build the momentum for an unforgettable life.
