What is a Sacrifice?
An act of offering to a deity something precious
Destruction or surrender of something for the sake of something else.
To sacrifice is to give up something in order to go up
Something given up or lost
Something offered in sacrifice

What is Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving is the outward expression of heartfelt appreciation to God the Father for what He has done, what He is doing and what you expect Him to do for you. See Ephesians 5:20; 1 Thessalonians 5:18; Colossians 3:17; Philippians 4:6-7; Colossians 4:2;

There are three aspects of Thanksgiving:
Recognition: This is thanking God and giving Him the glory for what He has done for you. Thanksgiving is acknowledging God for what He has done for you. See Psalm 115:1; Luke 17:11-19; Romans 1:21; Malachi 2:1-3

Appreciation: This is the art of thanking God for what He is doing. See Psalm 92:1-2; 136:1-4; 1 Corinthians 15:57; 2 Corinthians 2:14

Anticipation: This is thanking God the Father for what you expect Him to do for you, in you or through you. See Philippians 4:6-7; John 11:41-44; Romans 4:17-21;

Thanksgiving is the joyous expression of appreciation unto God the Father for His manifested goodness. See Isaiah 51:3; 1 Chronicles 29:10-13;

Thanksgiving can be verbal expression of gratitude to God for His manifested goodness. See Psalm 105:1-2; 106:1-2; Psalm 107:21; 26:7; 92:1; 1 Chronicles 29:13; Isaiah 51:3

Thanksgiving is celebrating God for His faithfulness. See Psalm 92:1-2

What is a Sacrifice of Thanksgiving?

A Sacrifice of Thanksgiving is a voluntary offering given to God in appreciation for what He has done for you. See Psalm 50:14-15; 116:12-19

A Sacrifice of Thanksgiving is the payment of a promise or vow made to God in times of crisis or in anticipation of a miracle. See Jonah 2:9; Psalm 50:14-15; Job 22:27; Luke 16:10-12

A Sacrifice of Thanksgiving is the expression of appreciation to God for what He has done for you by giving something very costly or precious. See 1 Kings 3:4; Genesis 8:20-22; Psalm 126:1-6

A Sacrifice of Thanksgiving is a freewill offering. See Leviticus 22:29; Deuteronomy 23:21-23; Amos 4:5; 2 Chronicles 29:31
