Vision Is Selfless.
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38
In our opening scripture we see that the reason God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power was not for Himself but so that He could go about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil.
This reveals that a God-given vision is always redemptive in nature. This means that vision serves a higher purpose than mere selfish ambition and personal aggrandizement.
For instance, naturally if you ask me the city I would love to stay, it would not be Bayelsa. There are other cities in this world but God told me to come here. So I am not here because of personal convenience but I am in Bayelsa because God sent me here.
Therefore whatever vision God has for you is not something that you pursue because of a selfish ambition. A God-given vision is selfless in focus. In other words it is not about you. It is always focused in serving others.
A God-given vision is about creating value and meeting the needs of others. That is why God anoints you and calls you. He calls you so you can go and help others just as we see in our opening scripture.
Please read Acts 14:26, Acts 15:40 and commend yourself to the grace of God concerning your work, job or assignment.
