What Are You Saying?

“It was by faith that Joseph, when he was about to die, said confidently that the people of Israel would leave Egypt. He even commanded them to take his bones with them when they left.” Hebrews 11:22 (NLT)

Our opening scripture reveals to us that faith governs your language. Therefore if a man or woman has faith, it will be revealed by what they say.

Joseph by faith prophesied that the people of Israel would leave Egypt and even instructed them to take his bones with them when they left, because he was confident that it will happen.

Do you have faith concerning your future? It will show in your words. What are you saying concerning your life; your marriage, your ministry? etc. That is what you truly believe will happen.

The Bible says, “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” 2 Corinthians 4:13.

Therefore I want you to be conscious and know that whenever you are speaking concerning any area of your life, you are expressing your faith and confidence concerning that area. This means that your words are a prophecy of your future.

Numbers 14:1-9 (NKJV)

So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! Why has the LORD brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?” So they said to one another, “Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.” Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel. But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes; and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. If the LORD delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’ Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them.”

Numbers 14:28 (NKJV)

Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the LORD, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you:

Isaiah 57:19 (NKJV)
“I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace to him who is far off and to him who is near,” Says the LORD, “And I will heal him.”
