What Do You Believe? 2
“Then Jesus turned to the captain and said, “Go. What you believed could happen has happened.” …” Matthew 8:13 (MSG)
Believing is so important to God’s work to the point that you will not fulfill your destiny unless you grow your faith because faith governs every area of our lives.
Jesus in our opening scripture said, “What you believed could happen has happened.” Jesus cannot lie. So if it has not happened it is because you did not believe. The Bible says, “God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar …” Romans 3:4.
It is what you believe could happen that is been manifested in your life. When I started pastoring in Bayelsa, I was told that it is difficult to have a pure church. I did not believe it.
I told them I will have a pure church and our members will be living right. But by the grace of God we have been able to do it. Our Church is a pure church and our members live right.
Why? I came with John 17:17 and I believed it. It says, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
The word ‘sanctify’ in the verse above means ‘to make holy.’ That means if you teach the Word of God people will be holy. So if you are a minister, teach the Word of God and your members will live right. The Word of God has sanctifying power.
Dear Father, I ask that You cause my love to abound more and more in knowledge and in all judgment that I may approve things that are excellent and remain sincere and without offence till the day of Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Mark 11:22-24 (KJV)
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them].
John 14:13 (KJV)
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 15:7 (KJV)
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
