What Is Your Name? 4
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21
Notice from our opening scripture that the angel of the Lord said, “… she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” Jesus means Jehovah saves. This reveals that a name is a destiny.
There are many who are stuck in life because of their name. When you ask that they change their name they will say that the name was given to them by their father and he is dead so they cannot change the name. If you don’t change the name, the problem will continue.
When you study the life of Noah, you will discover that his name was what decided his destiny. The Bible says, “And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: And he called his name Noah,”
The name Noah means ‘rest’. That was exactly what his father prophesied concerning him saying, “This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed.” Genesis 5:28-29. And that was exactly what happened with the life of Noah.
Therefore I want you to know that your name is your prophetic destiny.
Please read 1 Chronicles 12:22 and 1 Samuel 23:16 and ask God to bring into your life people who will facilitate the fulfillment of your dreams and destiny.
