Why God Guides 3
“I have taught you in the way of skillful and godly Wisdom [which is comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God]; I have led you in paths of uprightness.”
Proverbs 4:11 (AMP)
A third reason why God guides us is so we can follow the right path.
Psalm 23:3 (AMP) says, “He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him — not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.”
When God guides you, He guides you in paths of righteousness or uprightness so that you will not fall into sin.
Following divine guidance keeps us on the right track. It keeps us on the path of moral fidelity.
God leads you so you can avoid mistakes. Do you know that you can trace every mistake you ever made in your life to disobedience?
This is because if you are a Christian, before you make any mistake, God would have spoken to you, it is either you did not listen because you were not sensitive or you out rightly disobeyed His voice.
The life of obedience is a life without regrets.
Job 36:11 (AMP) says, “If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasantness and joy.”
Please read Psalm 90:12 and ask God to teach you to number your days and apply your heart unto wisdom.
