You are gods.
“They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.” Psalm 82:5
Do you know that when every child is born (whether a royal child or a poor child) whatever is invested in the child with words determines his or her identity? Whatever the child is told determines his or her behavior.
So as you read this devotional, whoever the Word of God says you are is who you are and that is what should determine your behavior.
Our opening scripture says, “They know not, neither will they understand …” This reveals that you cannot understand what you don’t know. As a result of their ignorance, the Bible says in our opening scripture, “… they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.” This means the reason for the crisis in our lives is our ignorance.
Psalm 82:6-7 says, “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” In other words, not knowing who you are will affect the quality of your life.
Therefore the quality of your life right now is a reflection of your self-perception.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that Christ lives in me, therefore I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Amen.
