You Are Saved 1.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
The first thing we will be looking at in your identity is that you are saved. I will like you to declare aloud to yourself if you are a believer say, “I am saved.”
According to our opening scripture, if you have confessed with your mouth the Lord Jesus; in other words if you have confessed the Lordship of Jesus over your life and you believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you are saved.
The word ‘saved’ is the word ‘sozo’ in the Greek. Firstly it means to deliver. Secondly it means to protect. Thirdly it means to save. Fourthly it means to heal. Fifthly it means to preserve. Sixthly it means to do well or to be made whole.
Therefore we can read our opening scripture this way, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved; safe and sound, rescued from danger or destruction, delivered, protected, healed, preserved, etc.
If you are not saved, I will like you to pray the prayer of salvation below:
Prayer Of Salvation.
O God, I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe He is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins. I believe that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day for my justification. With my mouth I confess that Jesus Christ is my Lord. I take Him as my personal Saviour. By my faith in the blood of Jesus, I believe, I receive, the washing away of all my sins. By my faith in the Name of Jesus, I believe, I receive, eternal life into my spirit. Jesus, come into my heart, make me a new person. I repent of my sins and I turn away from them. I open my heart to the Holy Spirit, to flood my heart with the love of my Father God. I believe I am saved. I am born again. I am a child of God. Amen.
