Your Conscience 1
“I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit,” Romans 9:1 (NKJV)
Yesterday, you learnt that the spirit of man has three faculties. The first faculty is the faculty of intuition which can also be referred to as the inward witness.
The second faculty of the spirit of man is the faculty of conscience. Unlike the faculty of intuition which is where God teaches you and guides you, your conscience is the faculty of the spirit for judging the rightness or wrongness of an action.
It is through the conscience you are able to tell if something is right or wrong. You need to learn to follow your conscience as a child of God. That is why I encourage you to train your conscience with the Word of God.
There are people whose consciences are dead because they didn’t train their conscience with the Word of God. As a result they are unable to approve excellent things. But if you train your conscience with the Word of God, you do not need to hear the audible voice of God before you are able to know what is wrong or what is right.
When your conscience is alive to God and under the influence of the Word of God, you will be able to do the right things and make the right decisions always without being told or instructed by anyone.
Dear Father, I ask that You expose every seed of falsehood that has entered into my belief system, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
